Happy Birthday !

Went to to SM Rosario last September 8,
I discovered the wonders of having a semi smartphone.
Because I was able to make a list directly on
my phones interface through its memo option.

Going back, I went to the mall to pay
my outstanding Smartbro bills and complain
about their delayed bill delivery.

I file most of my receipts in a folder,
I have only started organizing them this year
and have yet to organize my whole life
hahahaha.

The 8th of September is special because it
was the day my dear old Papa was born.
I miss him so much.
He died on the 13th of September 2001,
days after my lola died and
days later after his own birthday.
I barely knew him but I miss him
and truly think of him everyday.

Coincidentally, I saw this Marian exhibition as well.

at nagpapaprusisyon.

Yung tipong pinapasadya pa talaga ang
damit at accessories pati wig.
At yung may sariling pedestal sa bahay.

Uhmmm hindi ito para sa akin,
I find it too creepy.
Churi-churi.

Foot Spa

Because I was so embarrassed of walking
around the mall with my face fully made-up,
laden with tons of cosmetics and wearing
a skimpy short black dress that
I bought specifically from SM for their
plus size model contest,
I decided to treat myself to a foot spa.

Fortunately the Nail Files Salon
is right beside the shop where I had my mini pictorial.
The pictures were to be edited for around two hours,
ugh, so many pock marks, pimples and blemishes to be edited. hahahaha.

They used this bubble machine that massaged my soles,
I think a minty bubble soap would have made wonders
and this is not really at all bubbly to me.
I think they were a bit stingy with the foam.

The lady attendant then dried my feet and applied
if I am not mistaken, salt crystals to scrub
on my legs and feet.

Personally, I use a moisturizing sugar scrub my
mom sent me from her local Boots store.
After scrubbing the Boots brand leaves my skin
moisturized, the salt scrub they used is kinda left
my skin raw plus I used my epilator the day before
so I think that contributed to the overall raw feeling.

After cleaning the scrub particles the lady attendant
then used  a sole scrubber paddle to rid my plantar area
of those persistent calluses.

The sand paper like texture of the paddle worked miracles
on my feet as they are fairly soft and smooth now.
The lady would assess my feet every now and then
to target those darn areas.

After my foot spa was the pedicure,
I requested that my nails be trimmed straight,
no fancy trimming on the sides to make it oval.
Plus only clear nail polish, no colors because
nail polish is hard to maintain.

The foot spa session and pedicure was fun and
more of a once in a blue moon event
for me as I rarely do kikay stuff for myself.

I loved the fact that the lady attendant was able to remove all
of my calluses so I tipped her P100.
I am that happy.

SM Women's Plus Model Search

At dahil ubod ng kapal ng mukha ko
sinalihan ko ito mwahahahaha.

Masabi lang na minsan sa buhay ko
nagtangka ako kahit na di nagtagumpay hehehe.

They gave me a code and an application form
which I duly submitted at their booth.

Pan de Manila

I dunno what is wrong with me
because i keep collecting stuff
even little trinkets like pamphlets and brochures.

When people hand 'em out on the street,
I do not hesitate to take one.
It takes guts to hand out leaflets in the streets
and by taking one i am making their job a
wee bit easier plus I get to read the literature.

So before i recycle them elsewhere,
i am scanning them and posting them here.

This one came from Pan de Manila a rustic themed bakeshop
in SM Rosario.  They have a limited line of baked goods
but they are all relatively affordable plus freshly oven baked.

The instant white chocolate drink is to die for.
My favorite is their cheesy ensaymada because they do not
skimp on the cheese although i think they are using margarine
nowadays in lieu of butter.

They have bottled buko juice there as well as different
types of rare spreads that i am tempted to buy some soon.
